Description
Christmas is in the air and your whole class is abuzz with excitement, but you still need to get some work done! Elementary age kids will love this Christmas-themed counting and adding game. Children roll the dice and color in the Christmas lights based on the colors in the Bead Stair. There are 100 lights on the tree. At the end, they copy out their tree's equation. Not only is it a fun game, it also reinforces the quantity of 100, one-to-one correspondence, and subitizing.
It can be played independently or with a partner and you can set it up as a work choice in a Montessori classroom or as a center in a mainstream classroom. All you need is the printable game materials, 2 dice, and colored pencils.
The original version of the game was inspired by the Montessori Snake Game. Try the original version as a 100 Day activity!
